Advantages: Treatment is provided without a diagnosis and provider and client decide length and frequency of visits. No paper trail to employers. Sessions length and frequency is determined by client and Therapist.
Disadvantage: Employers insurance company decides how many sessions and how long they can be, requires a mental health diagnosis and formal treatment plan for reimbursement to provider. Advantage: Lower out of pocket cost.
These are employer-sponsored mental health supplement plans separate from your medical insurance. Employers will not know if you use them, and they are free to you for a predetermined session limit set by your employer.
